Forced to postpone the Phuket Boatshow Bangkok Preview at the last minute in the wake of the military coup in Bangkok, organisers Image Asia have secured new dates.
PIMEX 2006 Bangkok Preview, from 5 - 7 October, brings a cross-section of marine and lifestyle exhibitors to the doorstep of Bangkok residents in advance of December’s main event in Phuket at the Phuket Boat Lagoon.
A combination of indoor and outside displays at All Seasons Place and the Conrad Hotel in Wireless Road, PIMEX Preview will showcase the 20s design, built-in-Thailand Asian Classic from Latitude 8 Yachting – a sleek jet boat perfect for the Chao Phraya River, a USA-made Bayliner Runabout trailerable power boat, with a starting price at just 1.4 million Baht, a Chaparral Cruiser, also from USA and an AB Rigid Inflatable Boat from Venezuela, for those who want a low-cost, fast runabout or tender.
Complementing the boats – all trailerable – is a superb display of the latest model Land Rovers, the ideal vehicle for towing a boat from door to slipway.
Away from the hardware, PIMEX Preview also showcases, at the Conrad exhibition hall, a range of boating and lifestyle displays. Yacht charter holidays from Asia Marine and Sunsail, property from Raimon Land – one of Thailand’s foremost developers, and three of the major regattas in Thailand, including the King’s Cup Regatta. Max Marina Asia, in addition to the Bayliner on display, will feature their full range, including top-of-the-range Sunseeker from UK, while Go Boating presents the superbly crafted Gulfcraft range out of Dubai.
Last but not least, PIMEX Preview will showcase a variety of on-the-water sponsorship opportunities offered by Paul Poole (SEA) Co.
